Greenery in the form of trees, wreaths and garland are from outside…… and they are inside for the holidays… yes, I am stretching the definition of Outdoor Wednesday…. but I can!!!

Other Outdoor photos are welcome (as usual).

11/11 – Happy Veteran’s Day

In honor of our men and women in uniform past, present, and future, I’d like to share the following video for Veteran’s Day. God Bless and Thank You (and your families).

Lt. Andrew Kinard, a soldier injured in Iraq, introduced  Trace Adkins and the West Point Glee Club who performed "Til the Last Shot's Fired." Kinard told the audience, "As you listen to this song, please consider: It's not about the war, it's about the warrior."

The weather here this week is beautiful! I was waiting for my son at his campus today and drove around and took some pictures.

The purple and yellow pansies were really pretty…

No neighborhood in Macon revels in Halloween more than the area around Ridge Avenue. It has been estimated that roughly 2,000 children go through the Ridge Avenue area to trick-or-treat each year, and residents give out about 150 pounds of candy. (I am glad this is NOT my neighborhood!)

Most of the neighbors don’t mind the large crowds, so long as it is kids doing the trick-or-treating and not teens or adults seeking free handouts of candy.
